Current Positions
HP Indigo Digital Press Operator
We are looking for a digital press operator to fill a 2nd shift position in our department. We prefer someone with a solid background in digital printing preferably within the direct mail or database marketing industry.
Our digital print environment uses the most complete solution for the preparation and production of direct marketing programs. We have two (2) HP Indigo Digital Presses which are used in variable data processing and print on demand for direct mail and marketing collateral.
This environment also includes document preparation tools to finish the task with graphic intensive, variable data for simple marketing letters or sophisticated statements for high-speed, large-scale printing.
Qualified candidates will have HP Indigo experience and must be willing to learn and operate Xerox and IBM black & white laser printers as well. The daily duties are outlined below:
- Perform routine maintenance, on schedule and according to procedure
- Perform printer adjustments accurately, efficiently and according to procedure
- Monitor the printing process to maintain print quality
- Understand printer capabilities
- Perform preventative maintenance routines correctly
- Ensure that each job is set up properly
- Perform routine printing procedures
- Willingness to learn new ways of doing things
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Doesn’t mind getting dirty
- Good at visual discrimination, analysis and judgment
- Good physical strength (lift at least 50 pounds)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Prefers a clean and orderly work environment
- Analytical approach to problem solving
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Printing and/or related production experience
- Color printing experience (4-color + PMS colors)
- Takes pride in their efforts
- Knows how to evaluate print quality
The hours will be approximately from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM and candidate must be flexible and willing to work overtime when required.
